Alli Arthur and Nicole Miller Summer is the perfect time to go on some not so typical dates with your significant other. Summer brings about a lot of fun activities and great weather which create many options for fun dates. Picnic in the Park: Have a picnic in one of the local parks around Findlay. Spend quality time together making food for the outdoor feast, soak up some sunshine, and check out the scenery by taking a walk afterwards. This is a cost free way to have fun. Zoo: Make the short travel up to the Toledo Zoo and pay about $15.00 for a ticket in order to spend one of your sunny summer days with the wild. Going to the zoo is a great way to make memories and see animals you can’t find in your backyard. Have fun wandering around the exhibits and learning facts about each animal while enjoying each other’s company. If you’re feeling like taking a longer trip, Cincinnati and Columbus both offer zoos, too. Visit a Museum: Break out of the ordinary and take a trip to the Toledo Museum of Art for free. A dinner date and walk through a museum is a good way to indulge in a little bit of culture. Take a step away from all the crazy summer activities and enjoy an artsy evening. Another interesting and cost free museum is our very own Hancock County Historical Museum in Findlay.Photography Scavenger Hunt: Get creative and come up with a list of funny pictures you and your significant other could take. Sports Galore: For sporty couples, there are many great summer activities to take part in. Grab a bat and head to a batting cage to get some swings in, go rollerblading, play some putt putt, or even try tennis at one of the local courts.
