Coachella, the annual music and arts festival held in April since 2001, features several bands and artists of many different genres, along with art sculptures. Thousands travel across the country to meet up in Indio, Calif. to watch these musicians perform for three days straight for a total of two weekends. Past notable appearances include AC/DC, Snoop Dogg, Paul McCartney, Radiohead, Daft Punk, Madonna, Kanye West, Eminem, The Strokes, The White Stripes, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The most popular genres of music include rock, indie, hip-hop, and electronic dance. Coachella 2015’s lineup features a variety of each genre and hundreds of emerging and/or popular groups and artists.
