50th Anniversary of JFK Assassination

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy, our 35th president, in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas. Kennedy was riding in an uncovered limo with his wife Jackie, as they travled down Elm Street he was shot by a sniper. Governer Connally, who sat in the front seat of the limo, was hit and critically injured. At 1 p.m. in the hospital the president was pronounced dead by gunshot wound to the head.
