The VB gymnasium was packed full on Friday, March 14 for the ninth annual Jennifer Masters Dodgeball Tournament. A record-breaking 235 players participated in the fundraising event and a grand total of 90 games were played from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Freedom Fighters remained undefeated and rode the winners bracket all the way to the top as they won the HS girls bracket. The team consisted of juniors Desirae Cooper, Lauren Wise, Rachel Wymer (who were on last year's winning team), and freshmen Boston Siferd and Brylie Rampe. Scout Team Heroes, which was comprised of junior football players Adam Endicott, Luke Huber, Justin Phillips, Drew Conner, and Grant Wagner, came out on top of the HS boys' bracket. Super Friends Donnie Foltz, Andy Rader, Mike Tabler, Tom Hiatt, and Brad Gregory won the alumni bracket.

Mr. Heitkamp, who coordinated the event, was thrilled with the participation this year and is excited for next year. "I think it is pretty cool to see our community rally around a great teacher like Mr. Masters to help raise money for a scholarship for a graduating senior. It is hard to believe that this was our ninth year. [I'm] looking forward to year number ten!"
