Good morning, Knight Writer readers! Due to this arctic blast and extremely poor road conditions, Van Buren and all area schools closed, as well as all roads in Hancock and surrounding counties. A Level 3 snow emergency has been issued by Hancock County Sheriff Michael Heldman, meaning that all roads are closed and no one should be driving unless a severe personal emergency exists. All workers should contact their employers to see if they should report to work. Road travelers are subject to arrest, so stay off the roads!
