Van Buren's Chance Sonnenberg, a state placer at the OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament last year, will have another shot to reach the podium this year after finishing in third place in the District Wrestling Tournament on Saturday. Isaac Sexton was Van Buren's other place winner, where he finished in sixth place in the 285 pound weight class. Van Buren took six wrestlers to the tournament, and came away with a 15th place finish in a 50 team field. Congratulations to all of our wrestlers! No other Black Knight sports teams were in action this weekend, as the Boys Basketball team prepares for the District Basketball Tournament. The Knights will take on Defiance Tinora this Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. The game will take place at Defiance high school. The full tournament bracket is available through OHSAA, or by clicking here.
