Tonight the girls basketball team takes on the Rockets of Pandora-Gilboa in their first tournament game. The game will start at 8 p.m. at Ottawa Glandorf High School. If they girls win they will advance to the sectional finals and play the winner between McComb and Patrick Henry. The boys basketball team faced a 66-39 loss last night against Lima Central Catholic. Despite the loss, senior Sawyer Junge had 13 points and pulled down seven boards leading the Black Knights in both and senior Daniel Roberts lead with seven assists as well. The boys will be back in action Friday night with a make-up game against Waynesfield Goshen at their place. Quite a few Van Buren wrestlers advanced on this weekend at the sectional wrestling tournament. Juniors Isaac Sexton, and Chance Sonnenberg, and sophomores Payten Whitticar and Nick Devore are hoping to make it to the state tournament! Good Luck to all the Black Knights! |
