As county schools closed for the third chilly day in a row, students enjoyed yet another day to sleep in, relax, and complete the moodle-assigned homework. As of 11:30 a.m. Hancock county remains under a level two snow emergency and the temperature in Findlay has already reached a balmy 14 degrees. Despite the weather complications cancelling classes at The Ohio State University for two days, the Buckeyes men's basketball team traveled to Michigan State for the highly anticipated Big Ten basketball game. With a dominating student section cheering them on, the Spartans led the majority of the game as Ohio State uncharacteristically recorded 21 turnovers. With three minutes left, Aaron Craft pulled his team together to cut the 10-point margin down to 6, then 4, and eventually sending the game into overtime. Fueled by their riled-up fans, the Spartans hit three-pointer after three-pointer which freshman Marc Loving could not match and the Buckeyes fell 72-68. The VB girls' basketball game versus Cory Rawson has been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 18 with JV starting at 6 p.m. |
