This Saturday morning at Liberty Benton High School, band and choir students auditioned for the All-County band/choir. Almost all of the students who auditioned from Van Buren made it in. Van Buren choral students make up over a third of the choir this year. The band and choir rehearsals in preparation for their concert take place February 11th and 15th. The performance will be held February 16 at 3:00 p.m. at McComb High School. Girl's basketball will take on Hopewell-Loudon this Tuesday at 6:00p.m. at Hopwell-Loudon. They will also play Arcadia on Thursday at Arcadia at 6:00p.m.. Boy's basketball will take on Cory Rawson at 7:30 p.m. here, in the high school gym. Good luck to all of the basketball teams playing this week! Day 8: Go to a nursing home and visit with the elderly people there. They’ll love the attention and conversation. Plus, they always seem to be fascinated by us young folks, so it might just make their day. Be cool and bring them a card or a craft to do together. Pinterest has good ideas. You could even make each other red and green friendship bracelets!!! |
