As end of the school year activities start to make their way to the calendars, The Association is hard at work preparing for their annual Cabaret. This event happens each year in late April, and gives students the chance to showcase their individual talents through acts they pick. The night is filled with tears of both laughter and sadness as the seniors say their goodbyes through their final performances.

This year’s Cabaret will take place on April 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. During intermission, the juried art show will also be open to the public in the community room.

Senior member Mary Davidson explained Cabaret as a time to express individuality, and also the feelings about those who positively influenced her life.

According to Davidson, “Wind Beneath My Wings” is her favorite of the two traditional songs that are sung each year. She said, “It’s hard to tell your parents and family how much you appreciate them and love them, and that song expressed that gratitude to a T. That’s been my favorite every year of show choir; it’s a such a pretty and meaningful song!” Her sentiment is shared with many other members of the group, and is expressed by tears from students and parents alike.

Tickets go on sale Monday, April 21 through Wednesday, April 23 and are $5 for a student and $10 for an adult. See you there!
