Alexa Piccirillo was a little girl who dreamed of becoming a ballerina. After joining her first dance class at the age of 3, she fell in love with dance. Although she may not be a ballerina, as she enjoys the styles jazz and contemporary, Alexa has blossomed into a
well-accomplished dancer.

When asked what her favorite thing to do in the whole world is, Alexa Piccirillo simply answered, “dance.” Quite appropriately, dance takes a up the majority of her time as she practices, teaches, or performs it 11 months out of the year. “I have classes Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and sometimes on the weekend. Our season lasts from August to about mid-July. Yeah, I don’t really stop dancing,” Alexa shared her busy schedule.

Alexa travels to dance competitions from Columbus to Cleveland, and even a couple in Michigan. She is currently preparing for her big showcase this Saturday which will be held at Bowling Green High School.

Alexa received the honor of Most Valuable Dancer in her studio’s recital last year. She also took third place for her junior-year solo in another competition.
