Chance Sonnenberg represented Van Buren this past weekend at the Wrestling State Championship. After a long three days, he walked away with a state placement of second. In preparation for his achievement, he practiced hard with his teammates. A proud moment for both Chance, and Van Buren sports. He attributes his success to the support of his coaches, team, and the community. To any young athletes who wishes to accomplish what Chance has, he advises, “Nothing worth having comes easy.”

Sonnenberg is also involved in soccer, baseball, National Honor Society, and he was a paperboy. Chance will further his education and wrestling career at The University of Findlay, and hopes to major in nursing or accounting. He will miss high school and the friends he has made throughout.
