Zach Hiris Michael Domke finished his fourth and final year of soccer as a co-captain and took the “Mr. Defense” award, leading the Black Knights to a 11-7 record and a District semi-final appearance. For someone that describes himself as having “horrible time management,” Michael is still actively involved in several extracurricular activities off the field. In addition to his 4 years in soccer, Michael is a varsity choir member, student council representative, and this year’s vice president of the National Honor Society, where he helps organize several NHS events. Despite his crowded schedule, Michael also dedicates several weeks each winter to help with the musical. This year will be no different as he’ll be helping the tech crew run this year’s production of Bye Bye Birdie. “I run the lights and sound, and work the booth. The biggest challenge is the time commitment, but even then it’s not that much compared to what cast members have to do,” Michael shared about his role in the musical. After graduating this spring, Michael is planning on attending Rose-Hulman or the University of Cincinnati. He plans on majoring in an engineering field. Would you rather fight 100 duck-sized horses, or one horse-sized duck? Definitely 100 duck-sized horses. If you could learn one skill, what would it be and why? Better time management, because I procrastinate a lot. That or the ability to talk to animals. What would you want an endless supply of? Time because I’d want to do more things. If you could go back and change one thing from high school, what would it be? I would’ve taken Design sooner, because I should’ve taken more classes that will pertain to my major in college. What’s your favorite joke? Why have you never been to a Native American restaurant? Because you need a “reservation.” What’s the worst song to have stuck in your head? I think any song stuck in your head playing again and again would be annoying, so any song. Where’s Waldo? I don’t know if that’s something the world is prepared to find out. |
